About WSS

What Sheridan Said Airing Wednesdays at 98PM Central (1)_edited.jpg

In early 2025, Sheridan launched What Sheridan Said as a personal practice: to finally share her written work publicly, become more open and unguarded, and offer the lessons and stories she was living in real time. What began as a quiet commitment soon blossomed into something larger.

"Most artist updates only show the polished final product. What Sheridan Said shows the confusion before clarity;  the loneliness that can accompany ambition."

What Sheridan Said is a seasonal, episodic newsletter series that reads like an ongoing story. Readers follow Sheridan as she builds a creative career, navigates the complexities of friendships, love, and loss, and moves toward a life rich with meaning and purpose. Each episode weaves together poetry, personal essay, reflection, and intimate storytelling — vulnerable without being performative, honest without oversharing.

The series has become an addictive companion for many. Readers often describe it as writing that keeps them company through their own seasons of growth, heartbreak, and becoming.

What Sheridan Said

Season One Debut

Sheridan’s debut publication, Season One: Memoir of the Modern Heroine, collects the first arc of her serialized newsletter into a cohesive long-form narrative — part memoir, part philosophy, and part document of a life mid-transformation. Available in paperback, hardcover, and Kindle, it stands alone as a powerful, complete read, yet it is only the beginning.

“What Sheridan Said is more than a newsletter — it’s a companion for anyone trying to build a meaningful life while staying true to themselves.”

The newsletter series, now in its second season, continues to arrive every Wednesday at 9/8 Central. As one season ends and another begins, new episodes and fresh seasons unfold, carrying readers deeper into Sheridan’s evolving story and the universal lessons woven within it. There is always more to come.

What Sheridan Said: Season One

Memoir of The Modern Heroine

"Equal parts diary, survival guide, and love letter to the women still becoming themselves, What Sheridan Said: Season One is THAT addictive. Sheridan tells it as it happens, and somehow that honesty cuts deeper than any self-help book. This is the kind of memoir that makes you rethink your own patterns while laughing through the cringe. Perfect for anyone rebuilding their narrative one season or reason at a time."

Behind the Artist

About Sheridan Guerrette

sheridan guerrette is an american writer and poet with a successful narrative series that

Sheridan Guerrette is an American poet, artist, and businesswoman who grew up in rural Minnesota. In her early life, she struggled with reading, found self-expression deeply difficult, and had a hard time keeping her diary away from her sisters. When she discovered poetry, it allowed her to feel safe in all three.

Her teachers noticed her natural talent and passion for poetry. They encouraged her to submit poems in place of traditional essays for assignments, recognizing something special in her work even when her reading struggles were clear. Despite these challenges, Sheridan was accepted into college early — a quiet validation that the same voice she once hid could open doors.

"Meaning can be designed with intention, and beauty, when shaped precisely, becomes a form of power."

Poetry taught Sheridan how to read, not merely letters on the page but the emotions moving beneath them. It gave her a language for feelings she didn’t yet understand. Throughout the years, Sheridan has written thousands of poems and continues, often writing three per day. Through poetry, she learned to express herself honestly, how to understand her own heart, and the world more clearly.

Readers often describe Sheridan’s writing as controlled and rhythmic, with a cinematic quality that lingers. Her prose is praised for its beauty and quiet honesty. Rather than relying on spectacle, she favors subtext and the power of environment to evoke deep emotion. As she has said, she approaches language like architecture — something carefully built, deeply inhabited, and meant to be endured.

“Following Sheridan’s journey through poetry and real life has been unexpectedly healing. It’s rare to find writing that is both beautiful and deeply honest.”

Alongside her poetry and newsletter, Sheridan maintains a growing archive of essays published on her website, Substack, and Medium. Her writing sometimes draws from her former career in business and entrepreneurship, offering practical advice, while another main focus explores broader societal and cultural observations. Each piece circles the same central question that animates all her work: What does it mean to build a life that is both deeply meaningful and genuinely artful?

Sheridan does not claim to have all the answers. She continues to learn in public, turning both struggle and wonder into poems and essays, showing up with the same mix of courage and uncertainty she started with. If her work helps even one person feel less alone or gives them permission to tell their own story — even veiled in metaphor — then this endeavor has already served its deepest purpose.
