Previously on What Sheridan Said...

Last week’s episode, Papers Don’t Mean Sh*t, when her so-called business prospect turned into a full-blown stalker, Sheridan rushes into action. What started as a networking lead soon spiraled into late-night drive-bys, digital tracking, and a protective order that was more prop than protection. When law enforcement told her to “stay vigilant,” Sheridan did what any woman in a psychological thriller would do: she grabbed her dogs, ditched the city, and hit the road toward a safe house somewhere off the grid. But safety isn’t simple, and this week, our leading lady learns that even in hiding, chaos still finds its way into the frame.

Woman, Sheridan Guerrette writer director and amazing human, in black top with golden hoop earrings takes a selfie in a marble-tiled room. She wears a long chain necklace, appearing calm.

Papers Don't Mean SH*T

October 1st, 2025

I Gave Up My Favorite Home, My City, and My Sense of Safety

When I left the city last week, I thought I was escaping chaos. I packed my life into storage, drove off with my dogs, and told myself this was a fresh start, a retreat, a spiritual cleanse, maybe even the soft-launch of a more peaceful, creative era. But here’s the thing: chaos is surprisingly portable. It fits neatly in the backseat next to a duffel bag and a half-empty Starbucks cup, and it has a nasty habit of following you no matter how far you drive. I’d left behind the man with the tracking app, the police reports, and the crumbling illusion that professionalism meant safety. What I hadn’t left behind was the exhaustion, the kind that seeps into your bones and makes silence feel like suspicion.
