Sheridan’s world unraveled fast: a networking prospect turned stalker, an employer who quietly lowered her pay when she wouldn’t play along, and a life packed into storage as she fled between “safe houses” in the countryside with two dogs and a stack of notebooks. She kept writing anyway, about morality, ambition, and the extremes that shape her life, pulling from Shonda Rhimes, from mountain mornings in Tennessee and Georgia, and from the bonfires in Minnesota where she once burned entire novels so no one could read her rage.
Now, with the stalker’s pings finally silent, she’s preparing to return to her city without any certainty about what comes next. She’s releasing more of her work—essays, poems, chaotic drafts from Sheridan’s Junk Drawer—letting readers in just enough to feel her, but not enough to truly know her. Because for all she shares, Sheridan remains a woman layered in shadows, and each week only reveals one more corner of who she really is.
